A risk assessment has been
done. Modifications will be made to the
Clinic using the advice of the Provincial Medical Health Officer, the BC.
Centre for Disease Control, and WorkSafeBC.
The Staff have been involved in
risk assessment, education, and modification of job tasks.
We will continue to control access
to the Clinic. Admission will be by
pre-arrangement via telephone.
Physicians will continue to
offer virtual visits either by telephone or video link.
A maximum of 8 patients will be
admitted to the waiting room to allow for 6 foot spacing.
Patients will be given
screening questions for COVID 19 symptoms (fever, cough, shortness of breath)
and for recent travel or exposure to Covid.
There are physical barriers to
reinforce separation protocols.
Cleaning protocols include
twice daily cleaning of common touch surfaces.
Exam rooms, along with
stethoscopes and BP cuffs will be cleaned after each use.
10. Personal Protective Equipment
(PPE) will be used as appropriate.
11. Frequent hand washing and/or
use of hand sanitizer are established.
Hand hygiene will be done before and after patient contact.
12. Unnecessary equipment and
materials will be removed from waiting rooms and exam rooms to facilitate

hand hygiene and cough etiquette.
14. There is a contingency plan
for evaluation and management of staff illness.
15. The plan will be reviewed and
modified as circumstances change.
